ABOUT US

I am so excited about the promise of Bubble Wish Wands! Many people have helped to bring this dream to light. It is all about connections, learning and trusting. I am a wife, mom, daughter inspired by the beautiful surroundings of the Pacific Northwest and the people in my life, including my family, friends and acquaintances! Daily, I am fascinated by the depth of being human and the connections I see between all of us and our world. I have always had an affinity for glass objects, the way they sparkle in light, their durability yet fragility, and the way glass has the ability to be fluid and the amazing colors…. Beautiful.

I believe it was by fate that I met Lawrence Eichman, our very talented glass artist. It was on a cloudy Northwest day at a park in Issaquah, Wa. where I swore him to secrecy as I told him my idea of glass Bubble Wish Wands. As we discussed the possibilities of working together, we were amazed to see a young child making huge bubbles, we watched with inspiration as they floated across the lake (goose bumps here) it was a sign to stride forward! It became clear to both of us that the secret to this endeavor and what would be a motivating factor was the idea of giving, of creating something with purpose. Because we are promoting positive intentions it was important that the business model create a positive circle. Sometimes things are meant to be.

I have been so lucky to have the talented Bettie Edwards, award winning proprietor of the magical Little House on Vashon Island as my motivator, consultant and life teacher. She is a lady that sparkles and shines and her store is the most amazing place! Check out her blog at http://thelittlehousevashon.blogspot.com

Like I mentioned, connections… Bill Fairchild is an amazing friend and gifted graphic artist (when you have been a creative director of one of the largest retail chains in the country, my little project seems to be a breeze). He has taken me under his wing. His design for the Bubble Wish Wand Logo speaks… doesn’t it? I cannot express how generous he has been with his time and expertise, invaluable! I am thankful he enjoys a good meal on the patio!

The people that keep the passion alive……..Family…..  I am so glad I have such positive creative spirits in my life. My husband, is luckily one of those guys that loves technology, gadgets, and has patience for my crazy ideas. He lets me have my wings, but makes sure I make the return journey to earth! My boys keep me young and remind me of what is truly important. My parents have always encouraged the “creative side” and as only a parent can do… believe in me no matter what. They have been the best models I could ever wish for. My sister who is equally supportive and the first person I felt confident enough to hear my dream for Bubble Wish Wands… she said “go for it”! How many girls are as lucky as I? I gained a second family that consistently impresses me with their generosity and thoughtfulness. Then….. there are those people who leave an impression even though time spent with them is always too short. Kaj Wynn-Berry’s ideas and generous personality inspired the magic of a wish! My friends make my life joyful and never cease to inspire me by their graciousness.
